Our CEO, Heather Ireland, was awarded the Mayor’s Award on Monday in recognition of her hard work and dedication towards the improvement and promotion of mental health within the community. Over a decade ago, Heather started working as a temporary manager at Shropshire Mental Health Support (formerly known as Shropshire Mind). Since then, she has expanded the charity from 4 employees to more than 45 staff members and 30 volunteers. Shropshire MHS offers monthly support to over a thousand individuals through various programs. Our latest initiative is the well-being vehicle, which provides mobile mental health support.
