Oswestry Crafty Knitters!

Local community knitting group, Crafty Knitters recently handed over ‘Smudge’ the mascot for Shropshire Mental Health Support.
Angie Mills from Crafty Knitters said, “The CEO, Heather Ireland asked me if it was possible to knit a 3 foot plus replica of their mascot.
“The small mascot is what we were given to make up a pattern for a bigger one and we decided to accept the challenge.
“Mr Ian Morris from ‘Neil the Knit’ wool supplier in Oswestry kindly donated all the wool and Crafty Knitters supplied all the toy stuffing and completed this mind-blowing challenge.
“Everyone is so pleased with the results and ‘Smudge’ now has a new home travelling around Shropshire.”
