Job Opportunity: Community Fundraising, PR & Events Officer
Location: Office-based (Shropshire)
Hours: 20 hours per week

Join Shropshire Mental Health Support (SMHS) as our new Community Fundraising, PR & Events Officer, and play a vital role in raising funds and promoting awareness to support mental health services across the county.
In this dynamic and rewarding role, you will lead on community fundraising, develop corporate partnerships, and promote engaging campaigns and events. Your efforts will directly support SMHS’s mission and values.
Key Responsibilities:
Support and evaluate fundraising events and campaigns.
Meet annual fundraising target.
Build long-term relationships with local businesses and groups.
Lead on corporate partnerships including 'Charity of the Year' support.
Develop promotional materials and compelling fundraising communications.
Use social media and digital tools to raise awareness and engagement.
Represent SMHS at events, community forums, and networking opportunities.
Ensure accurate tracking of income and supporter engagement.
You Will Need to:
Have experience in a fundraising role within the voluntary/third sector.
Hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle (essential).
Be prepared to work unsociable hours.
Be subject to an enhanced DBS check.

We are a mental health charity providing supported housing and essential services to individuals with mental health needs. Our mission is to offer a safe, stable, and empowering environment where people can thrive.
We're seeking a Finance Officer who will bring accuracy, integrity, and insight to our finance function – supporting everything from daily transactions to financial planning.
Key Responsibilities:
· Managing day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll support.
· Assisting in the preparation of management accounts, budgets, and financial reports.
· Monitoring income and expenditure across our mental health and supported housing services.
· Working closely with the management team to ensure accurate financial tracking.
· Supporting our Treasurer on regulatory reporting.
· Maintaining compliance with charity and housing finance regulations.
You will need to have:
· Proven experience in charity and/or social housing finance (or transferable sector knowledge).
· Strong understanding of financial controls, reporting, and budgeting.
· Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks) and Excel.
· Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach.
· Empathy for our mission and a desire to contribute to positive social impact.
· Be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
